Train Etiquette

Passengers on Japan's public transport do not seem to talk.  They prefer to sleep or read.

The (vocal) use of mobile phones on public transport in Japan is frowned upon, and announcements asking passengers to switch their phones to silent mode are played frequently in every one of my train journey.

I just know I am going to miss that serene silence when I return to Hong Kong.
