Slinging In Singapore

I realised I have written a fair bit about Singapore in the last few pieces.  Okay, this will be my last concluding remarks for the Lion City Series, I promised.

I have to say I quite like the ‘frankness’ of the Singaporean government and they certainly don’t beat around the bush.
Citizens there do not pee, spit, pick the flowers, feed the birds, smoke, jaywalk, eat on trains, and definitely zero marketshare for Wrigley’s Chewing Gum!

If you litter? Bam! $1000 fine.

If you sell drugs? Bam! Death.

They mean business and it works.  Unemployment is low, crime is virtually non-existent and I have never felt safer wandering alone in a foreign city at night.

Talking about night life though, what I found unbelievable was the fact that they didn't ban smoking inside the 2 casinos at Resort World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands.

I found that is the oddest account of all during my slinging in Singapore!

that's simply because most ppl inside those casinos are foreigners ;)

I think that's because they are going for the mainlanders' $$. Look at Macau, smoking or non-smoking section isn't going to make a difference. Dress code isn't going to make a difference. Money talks in casinos :-)
