CSI: Impressed Or Amused?

If you watch enough TV dramas such as CSI or Without A Trace, you understand the importance for suspects to have an alibi, you learn of all that psychological profiling tricks and the unimaginable ways to peel back the layers of the victims' lives since birth.  

They have made it look so easy and effortless and at a certain point, you feel as if you are almost equipped with the knowledge to join the FBI.

Thumbs up.  Impressed. 

There is just this one little technical glitch that I am not that impressed and curious to find out if you have ever wondered the same:

We don't need to be graphical pros to know when we enlarge a bunch of pixels, we can only get a bunch of REALLY BIG pixels!  Yet the FBIs don't get it. 

They always have this "image enhancer" that is capable of transforming unintelligible smeared images into crystal-clear and fault-proof evidence!

Rolleyes.  Amused.

Get Chopped

"Chopped" is on American TV right now and it's down to the last 4 standing contestants. 

At times, like Iron Chef, it can actually be a bit too fast-paced and stressful to watch as the chefs there are ‘all about the win!” Nonetheless, it is a fantastic show. 

Those who made it to the ultimate face-off tonight were without a doubt - excellent chefs with tremendous skills and creativity.  The challenges are tough and the producer made it so suspenseful that you just have to keep watching until the last one got eliminated.   

Bought to me by Food Network, this has to be one of my favourite TV channels in the world.  Some of my friends say the programme entices them to cook more often than otherwise, whereas I keep saying to myself throughout the week, that I have to stop watching because...

all that whisk and stir is making me hungry ALL THE TIME!!  

Don't Sweat The Small Stuff

"After the big C, you just don't sweat the small stuff."

This came out from Samantha Jones in Sex In The City, who, although was the most sexually promiscuous out of the 4 girls featured in the series, I admired her courageous attitude when she faced the challenge of breast cancer head-on, played with her looks by wearing outrageous wigs or hats during her chemotherapy.


Revisiting the TV series reminded me that we should always appreciate being alive, keep our emotions like anger and dissatisfaction in proper perspective, and cherish other people as the unique miracles they are.

We should force ourselves to be thankful that we can 1) smell - if not roses - whatever is sitting in front of our noses. 2) Make sure our ears are for listening, not for hearing and 3) always taste the food we eat before we swallow.

The Final Break?

Saw the extra 2-hour movie version of the Prison Break: The Final Break on Fox last week.

Michael and Sara got married and then no surprise, it was Sara's turn to be locked in Fox River for the murder of Christina Scofield.

We had who else but the experienced gang of prison breakers, Linc, Sucre and Mahone who helped break her out. Michael died not because of his brain tumour, but sacrificed himself in the ordeal.

They made it look so darn easy to break a fool-proved prison and that bit was rather ridiculous. The last 2 minutes of the movie was really touching though and not to be missed.

I read somewhere that they are thinking of a Season 5… but how on earth they do that when Schofield's dead now?!

I will sure miss Prison Break if that's the end of it all.

The Greek Prison Break Take 2

While I was watching Prison Break season 4 on tele, I saw breaking news from BBC that a massive manhunt is under way in Greece after a duo escaped from a top security prison by a helicopter - for the second time in three years.

Wow - Prison Break live in real action - honestly better than the drama I am watching!

Prison Break Season 3?

The answer to the question that has been on every prison break fan’s lips is here. Yes - there will be a season 3 upcoming in Sept 2007 - 5 months after the season 2 finale and 1 more month for those who choose to wait.

And I heard for once Michael Scofield will not be the man with the plan - Can't wait to watch him, i like the way he speaks.
