There has gotta be something about the mixing of the European and Amerindian origins in their population, which once again, made history when Miss Universe 2008 crowned her successor from the same country - where else but - Venezuela!
Miss China, Wang Jingyao, didn't do too bad, was named Miss Congeniality and Miss Thailand, Chutima Durongdej, won Miss Photogenic.
There must be some unique qualities that the Mestizo possesses which help them maintain their unparalleled record at winning international pageants and make them the world's most successful national beauty title.
Many of the contestants undergo life-long continuous preparation to compete in these is one, in which I think our little Miss Hong Kongs have much to learn from!
